About GigBuyerGuide

Short answer

GigBuyerGuide is an independent editorial site about hiring on Fiverr, written for business buyers who want to know what a service costs, which sellers are worth shortlisting and when Fiverr Pro is worth paying for. It is published by NetPartners Marketing, a Quebec-based digital marketing consultancy, and written by its founder Zoltan Juhasz, a Montreal-area marketing consultant with fifteen years in artist management and press release distribution.

Key takeaways

  • GigBuyerGuide is published by NetPartners Marketing and written by Zoltan Juhasz.
  • The site covers one thing: buying work on Fiverr as a business, with the facts checked and dated.
  • It is an independent publisher, not owned or operated by Fiverr, and earns affiliate commissions on qualifying purchases.
  • Every gig fact on the site is read from Fiverr's public listing and stamped with the date it was checked.

Why this site exists

Fiverr lists millions of gigs. A buyer landing on a category page sees a wall of near-identical thumbnails, prices that jump around by currency and location, and badges that mean nothing until someone explains them. Most advice online is written by sellers for sellers, or by affiliates who have never had to explain a bad logo to a client.

GigBuyerGuide is written from the other side of the order form. The question on every page is the one a business buyer actually asks: for this kind of work, what should I expect to pay, who should I shortlist and what do I need to send them so the first delivery is usable?

Who writes it

Zoltan Juhasz is a Montreal-area marketing consultant. He runs NetPartners Marketing, a digital marketing consultancy with a company address in Tualatin, Oregon, and is a Communications graduate of Concordia University in Montreal. Before the consultancy he spent fifteen years in artist management and press release distribution, which meant commissioning cover art, video, press material and translation on a budget and on a deadline, most of it from freelancers.

Today the consultancy runs SEO content operations and paid advertising for clients, and a good share of the design, copy, video and development work behind that is bought from marketplaces like Fiverr. The guides on this site are the notes from that buying, organised so that someone else can use them.

What the site covers

  • Category buying guides under /hire/ for the services businesses order most: logo and brand design, web development, SEO, video, voice over, copywriting, virtual assistants and more. Each one carries a shortlist built from Fiverr’s public listings.
  • Fiverr Pro, what it costs and when it is worth it.
  • Fiverr’s buyer fees, with a calculator.
  • Comparisons against Upwork, agencies and other options.
  • How-to guides for briefs, revisions, disputes and refunds.
  • Guides for agencies that subcontract through Fiverr.
  • A small cluster for publishers interested in the Fiverr affiliate program.

What the site does not do

It does not place test orders. No page will ever claim that work was ordered or tested. What the site offers instead is a careful reading of the public listing, checked on a stated date, plus years of experience in briefing and judging creative work for artists, press campaigns and marketing clients. The full method is on the how we check and methodology pages.

It does not publish promo codes, coupons or discount content, and it does not cover how to make money as a Fiverr seller.

How the site is funded

GigBuyerGuide is a Fiverr affiliate partner (Fiverr Promoter). When a reader clicks through to Fiverr and makes a qualifying purchase, the site earns a commission at no extra cost to the buyer. Commissions never change which gigs make a shortlist or how a service is rated. The details are on the disclosure page.
