Hiring a logo designer on Fiverr in 2026: prices, what to look for and what to send

Short answer

A logo designer on Fiverr is a freelance graphic designer who sells fixed-price logo packages. On September 29, 2026 the median starting price among well-reviewed logo gigs was $27.50, with most real projects landing between $30 and $300. Pay for vector source files (SVG, AI or EPS), two or three concepts and a clear ownership statement, and send a brief with references.

Key takeaways

  • Across 12 well-reviewed logo gigs on page one of Fiverr's logo category on September 29, 2026, the median starting price was $27.50 and the middle half ran from $25 to $43.75.
  • The typical logo project on Fiverr lands between $30 and $300 once you add vector files, more concepts and revisions.
  • The median starting package delivers in 2.5 days, but a logo worth keeping for years needs a round or two of revisions on top.
  • Insist on an SVG, AI or EPS vector file. A PNG-only logo cannot be resized for signage or print without losing quality.
  • Only 2 of the 12 gigs in the sample were Fiverr Pro, so most buyers will hire on the regular marketplace.

A logo is the one design job where the cheapest package and the right package are rarely the same thing. The starting price buys you a look at the designer’s style. What you actually need is a file you can put on a van, a favicon and an invoice without it falling apart.

How much does a logo designer cost on Fiverr?

Across the 12 well-reviewed gigs (4.7 stars or better, 20+ reviews) on the first page of Fiverr’s logo design category on September 29, 2026, the median starting price was $27.50 and the middle half ran from $25 to $43.75. The cheapest was $20 and the most expensive started at $160. These are starting prices of each gig’s cheapest package, not what a finished logo project usually costs.

That $27.50 usually buys one concept, a JPG or PNG and one or two revisions. What pushes the price up is almost always the same list: vector source files, a transparent background, more concepts, social media kit, stationery and a copyright transfer.

Package tierTypical priceWhat it usually includes
Basic$30 to $601 concept, JPG/PNG, 1-2 revisions
Standard$60 to $1502-3 concepts, transparent PNG, vector file, 3-5 revisions
Premium$150 to $3003+ concepts, full source files (AI, EPS, SVG, PDF), brand colors, social kit, stationery

Remember the service fee on top. Fiverr’s payments article lists 5.5% plus $3.50 on orders under $200, so a $30 logo order comes to $35.15 at checkout before any tax. The Fiverr fees guide has the full breakdown, including the older $3 under $100 wording still on one help page.

For most small businesses the marketplace is the right place to hire a logo designer. Only 2 of the 12 gigs in our sample carried the Fiverr Pro badge, and plenty of Level 2 and Top Rated sellers deliver clean vector work at marketplace prices.

Fiverr Pro makes sense when the logo is part of a bigger brand job, when you plan to register a trademark or when you are an agency delivering to a client who will judge you on it. In those cases you are paying for a discovery step and a designer who pushes back on a weak brief. If that is you, the brand identity guide is the better starting point, because a logo alone will not give you color rules and type pairings.

If you only need something passable for a side project, Fiverr Logo Maker at $30 is honest about what it is: a template-based logo under a non-exclusive license.

How do you read a logo gig before ordering?

Open the package table and check five things before you look at the portfolio.

  • File formats. You want at least one vector format (SVG, AI or EPS) plus PNG with a transparent background. If vectors are “source file” extras, add the cost.
  • Concepts vs revisions. Concepts are separate directions. Revisions are changes to one direction. A package with “unlimited revisions” and one concept is still one idea.
  • Ownership. Look for “commercial use” or “copyright transfer” in the package or the extras. If it is missing, ask before ordering.
  • Delivery time. The median starting package delivers in 2.5 days. Anything promising a logo in 24 hours is usually selling speed, not thinking.
  • Portfolio range. Scroll the gig gallery. If every logo uses the same gradient and the same font, you will get that too.

Also check the level badge. Level 2 and Top Rated sellers have passed Fiverr’s order, rating and earnings thresholds, which you can read about in the seller levels guide. A third of the gigs in our sample were Top Rated. When a gig passes these checks, compare logo designers on Fiverr side by side.

What should you put in a logo brief?

Copy this, fill it in and paste it into the requirements form. Fiverr gives you 14 days to submit requirements before an order auto-cancels, but the clock on delivery only starts once you do.

  • Business name exactly as it should appear, plus tagline if any
  • What the business does, in one sentence, and who buys from it
  • Three logos you like, with one line on why
  • Two or three logos you dislike, with why
  • Colors to use or avoid (hex codes if you have them)
  • Style words: for example “geometric, calm, no mascots”
  • Where the logo will live: website header, favicon, embroidery, signage, packaging
  • Files you need at the end: SVG, AI or EPS, transparent PNG, black and white version
  • Whether you need copyright transfer in writing

Our brief writing guide goes deeper if you want a template for other services too.

What are the red flags when hiring a logo designer?

Most bad logo orders were visible as bad before checkout. Watch for these.

  • Templates dressed up as custom work. If the gallery shows the same icon with different names, it is a template shop.
  • Vectors only in the premium tier or as a steep extra. A logo without a vector file is half a logo.
  • AI output with no editing. Fiverr’s own AI guidelines say generic, unmodified AI output does not meet its quality standards. If you want no AI, say so clearly in the brief.
  • Moving the conversation to WhatsApp or Telegram before ordering. Fiverr only allows third-party tools after an order is placed, and off-platform deals are not protected.
  • “Unlimited concepts” for $15. You will get many small variations of one idea.

What should you check when the logo files arrive?

Open every file before you accept. Fiverr auto-completes an order three days after delivery if you take no action, and you request changes with “No, I’m not ready yet” on the order page.

CheckWhat good looks like
Vector fileSVG, AI or EPS that scales to poster size without blur
Transparent PNGNo white box behind the logo on a dark background

Frequently asked questions

Is Fiverr good for logos?
Yes, for a small business that can judge a portfolio. Logo design is one of Fiverr's deepest categories: well-reviewed logo gigs started at a median $27.50 in our September 29, 2026 check, with Pro designers at $130. The weak spot is originality at the low end, so ask for vector source files and check the concepts are not generic templates.
Do I own the logo I buy on Fiverr?
It depends on what the gig includes. Many logo sellers list commercial use or full copyright transfer as a package feature or a paid extra, so check the package table before ordering and ask the seller to confirm in the order chat if it is not listed.
How many logo concepts should I pay for?
Two or three concepts is the sweet spot for most small businesses. One concept gives you nothing to compare, and ten concepts from a starter package are usually quick variations rather than real directions.
Should I use Fiverr Logo Maker instead of a designer?
Logo Maker costs $30, $60 or $90 and gives you a non-exclusive license to a template-based logo. If you want something unique that you may trademark later, hire a designer instead.
What if I hate every concept?
Use your revisions to steer the direction first, quoting the brief. If the seller clearly ignored the brief, you can request a cancellation through the Resolution Center, and the seller has 48 hours to respond.
How long does a Fiverr logo take?
The starting packages in our sample had a median delivery of 2.5 days. Budget a week in total so you have time to give feedback and use your revisions without rushing.
