This index answers one question per category: what does a well-reviewed Fiverr seller charge to start? It is built from the first page of each Fiverr category on September 29, 2026, filtered to gigs rated 4.7 stars or higher with at least 20 reviews. That left 1,579 gigs across 44 categories. We read public listings; we did not place orders.

What the index shows

Most categories are cheap to start, a few are not. 18 of the 44 category medians sat under $50, led by image editing, virtual assistants, YouTube thumbnails, blog posts and data entry. 11 were at $100 or more, mostly development, paid ads and video: Shopify and mobile apps at $120, Google Ads management at $140 and landing pages at $180.

The spread inside a category is wide. In email marketing the middle 50% of starting prices ran from $20 to $121.25; in mobile app development from $100 to $372.50. A low starting price usually means a narrow first package, not a cheaper seller.

Fiverr Pro costs more, by very different amounts. Pro gigs started at about 2.3 times the category median overall. The premium was 1.2x for website copywriting and brand identity, 1.6x for WordPress and Shopify, and 9.5x for email marketing. Our Fiverr Pro vs Fiverr and Pro Essential review pages cover when the premium is worth paying.

Recurring work is common. In the median category, 44% of well-reviewed gigs offered a subscription option, which suits ongoing work such as social media, bookkeeping and content.

How the index is built

We open the first page of each Fiverr category, keep gigs with a 4.7+ rating and 20+ reviews, and record the cheapest package price, its delivery time, the seller level and whether the gig carries the Pro badge. Medians and quartiles are calculated per category. The full method, including what we exclude, is on How we check. The index is refreshed when we re-check the categories; the date at the top of this page is the date of the data.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a typical Fiverr gig cost?
In our September 29, 2026 check of 1,579 well-reviewed gigs, the median category starting price was $55. It ranged from $10 for image editing to $180 for landing pages. Starting prices cover the cheapest package; most real orders cost more once you pick the package that matches your brief.
What does the starting price on Fiverr include?
It is the price of the seller's cheapest package, usually a limited scope (one concept, one revision, a short word count or a single page). The middle and top packages add scope, revisions and faster delivery. Compare packages against your brief rather than comparing starting prices across sellers.
Are Fiverr Pro gigs more expensive?
Yes. In the 25 categories with five or more Pro gigs in our sample, Pro starting prices were about 2.3 times the category median. The gap was small for web and copy work (1.2x to 1.7x) and large for marketing production (3x to 9.5x).
Can I use this data in an article?
