- The seller insists on hosting the site. You will struggle to move it later.
- Nulled or “free premium” themes and plugins. Pirated copies can carry malware and never get security updates.
- Asking for your main hosting or registrar password. Create a separate user with only the access needed, and remove it after launch.
- No staging site for changes to a live business site. One bad update takes your site down.
- “Complete website” at the lowest price with no page count. Expect a single page.
- A push to talk on WhatsApp before ordering. Fiverr allows third-party tools only after an order is placed, and it cannot protect deals made off the platform.
What should you check before accepting delivery?
