UGC works because it looks like a customer talking, not a brand. That same quality makes it the Fiverr category with the most fine print. Usage rights, product shipping, scripts and honest endorsements all need agreeing before the order, and the gig card rarely covers them.

How much does a UGC video cost on Fiverr?

Across the 42 well-reviewed gigs (4.7 stars or better, 20+ reviews) on the first page of Fiverr’s UGC videos category on September 29, 2026, the median starting price was $55 and the middle half ran from $30 to $150. Starting packages ranged from $10 to $375. These are starting prices of each gig’s cheapest package, not totals with rights, raw footage and variations.

A starting package usually buys one 15 to 60 second video of the creator talking to camera, filmed on a phone, lightly edited. Prices rise with more videos, hook variations, raw unedited footage, paid-ads usage rights, product demos filmed in several settings, captions, a script written by the creator and faster delivery.

Here is how packages are usually structured. The outer range comes from our category-level estimate of $50 to $400 and is general guidance, not measured data.

TierTypical priceWhat it usually includes
Basic$50 to $100One 15-30 second video, your script or talking points, light edit, organic use
Standard$100 to $2501-2 videos with 2-3 hook variations, captions, raw footage, paid-ads usage rights
Premium$250 to $400Several videos or angles, unboxing plus demo, creator-written script, extended usage rights

Fiverr’s service fee on the $55 median is $6.53 (5.5% plus $3.50 under $200, per its payments article), for $61.53 in total. Product and shipping costs are yours as well. See the fees guide.

Marketplace or Fiverr Pro for UGC videos?

Most brands should hire UGC creators on the marketplace, but do not ignore Pro here. 11 of the 42 gigs in our sample were Fiverr Pro, with a $160 median start, which is a real presence for a creator category. Pro creators tend to deliver more polished, ad-ready variations and clearer rights terms.

On the marketplace, 40% of the gigs came from Top Rated sellers. Because a UGC video depends on the person as much as the skill, the best approach is to order from two or three creators with different looks and voices. If you want a vetted pool for ongoing ad creative, see Fiverr Pro UGC creators .

How do you read a UGC gig before ordering?

Watch the creator’s sample videos with the sound on, then read the package for rights and deliverables.

  • Usage rights. Organic social only, or paid ads too? For how long? This is the single most important line.
  • Product needed. Does the creator need the physical product? Who pays shipping, and do they keep it?
  • Script. Your script, talking points or creator-written. Creator-written usually sounds more natural.
  • Hooks and variations. Several openings for the same video are worth paying for.
  • Raw footage. Useful if your editor will cut more ads from the same shoot.
  • Format. 9:16 vertical, length, captions burned in or not.
  • Creator audience. UGC is usually posted on your channels, not theirs. If you want them to post, that is influencer work and priced differently.

The median starting package delivers in 3 days, counted from when the creator has what they need. Only 24% of the gigs offered a subscription, lower than other video categories.

What should you put in a UGC brief?

Send this before ordering so the creator can confirm fit and rights. The brief writing guide has more.

  • Product, what it does and who buys it
  • Where the video will run: organic social, paid ads or both, and for how long
  • The problem the product solves, in the customer’s words
  • Talking points, and three hooks to try
  • Things not to say (medical or income claims, competitor names)
  • Setting: kitchen, gym, car, office
  • Creator profile you want: age range, style, language, accent
  • Deliverables: number of videos, length, variations, raw footage, captions
  • Shipping: you will send the product after ordering, and whether the creator keeps it
  • Deadline, allowing for shipping time

Fiverr’s help center advises against including sensitive personal details such as an ID, phone number or address in messages. Agree on shipping only after the order is placed, and let the creator share just what delivery needs, such as a business address or a parcel locker.

What are the red flags when hiring a UGC creator?

UGC mistakes can mislead customers, not just disappoint you. Watch for these.

  • Reviews of products the creator never used. The FTC says an endorsement has to represent the accurate experience and opinion of the endorser. Send the real product.
  • Scripts with claims you cannot prove. The FTC says endorsements cannot be used to make a claim the marketer could not legally make.
  • No mention of usage rights. If it is not in writing, assume organic use only.
  • Same background and delivery in every sample. You will get a template performance.
  • Asks for payment or product shipping off Fiverr before ordering. Fiverr allows third-party tools only after an order is placed, and off-platform deals are not protected.
  • AI avatars sold as real people. If a gig uses AI presenters, it should say so, and you should not present them as customers.

Frequently asked questions

What is a UGC video?
UGC stands for user-generated content. In advertising it means a short video of a real person talking about or using a product, filmed in a casual, phone-camera style. On Fiverr, brands pay creators to make these videos for their ads and social accounts.
Do I have to send the creator my product?
For honest, convincing videos, yes. Ship it after you place the order and agree whether the creator keeps it. Some gigs offer scripted videos without the product, but those are closer to acting than to a genuine review.
Can I run the UGC video as a paid ad?
Only if the package includes paid usage rights or you buy them as an extra. Check the length of the rights too; some creators license ad use for a fixed period.
How many UGC videos should I order?
Start with two or three creators making one or two videos each. Different faces and styles perform differently, and you will only learn which works by testing a few.
